Garden resident.

This Speckled Wood appeared in the garden about 10 days ago. Living close to the Coast Road in Wallsend we don't get lots of wildlife in the garden so this fella is more than welcome. Along with our next door neighbour we now do have a healthy, swelling community of House Sparrows and a pair of Collared Doves brought their new juvenile down to feed yesterday.
First use of the macro lens for quite some time.
